Newman Building Designs Company Profile: Newman Building Designs was established ten years ago. Principal Eric Newman has been working in the field of Architecture for nearly 20 years, and has worked on all types of buildings, using all types of building materials. He graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a degree in Architecture. He believes that buildings should be as "green" as possible. This is accomplished through responsible design and the use of earth friendly building materials. The technique is good for both the environment, and keeping utility bills low.
Projects:
Custom Homes throughout California:
Newman Building Designs has completed many custom homes over the years. Many more have been designed, and 4 are currently under construction. Many different architectural styles have been used.
Restaurants:
A large part of Newman Building Designs business is designing restaurants. Many have been built and are up and running. There are currently 3 under construction, and a couple more being developed at the moment.
Commercial Center:
This center in south Los Angeles is set to begin construction next year.
Museum Row Apartments:
Located at the top of a 27 story building, these luxurious apartments have some of the most dramatic views in all of LosAngeles.
Downtown Apartments:
These apartments are centrally located in downtown Los Angeles and are almost never vacant. This project was completed under budget to the delight of the owner.
19th Avenue Vacation Suites:
Located in Venice Beach, California, these units cater to an upscale clientele, and have amazing views of the ocean.
Pier Avenue Suites:
In Santa Monica, California, at the top of a hill, this project has been a popular spot for vacationers from around the world.
Humboldt Redwood Suites:
In the Redwood forest of northern California, there are plans to build this amazing resort for those who like to get away
(project set to begin construction in 2012)
Warehouses in downtown Los Angeles:
Although not the most aesthetically pleasing buildings, Newman Building Designs helped renovate multiple 10,000 s.f. buildings in 2005-2011, improving the appearances and carbon footprints.
Resort in Dominica:
Newman Building Designs consulted and designed a portion of this resort located on a beautiful Caribbean island.
Resort in San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua:
A resort has been designed for this sleepy, tourist town on the Costa Rican border. The project has not been built, but if funding is secured, it would be an historic and luxurious eco-resort.
Resort in Zihuatanejo Mexico:
A beach resort in this beautiful town has been discussed, and preliminary designs are being discussed.
Resort in Acapulco Mexico:
Another anticipated project is the development of an existing client's land in Acapulco.
Other projects being considered a 4 story hotel, 3 additional custom homes, more bars and restaurants, commercial centers and a treehouse.
