Newman Building Designs can take care of just about anything in creating your dream project. It always works out best if we are brought on board at the very beginning of a project, but sometimes people find out about us after they have already started. Many of our projects have been joint ventures with other architects, designers, engineers and other consultants. We are often hired for only some of the services we provide. Here is a list of the services that our firm specializes in.
Expediting:
On many projects of late we have been hired to obtain permits and act as consultants only. On these projects we work with the architects and designers as part of a larger team. Many cities have very complicated procedures to follow and it takes somebody familiar with the system to get a project approved.
Kitchen Design and Consultation:
Because of the many restaurants, bars, cafes, markets and other food serving establishments that we have worked on, our expertise at kitchen design is the only service that some clients need.
Research and "As-builts":
There are times when clients need to know if a project is going to be feasible before committing resources and lots of money. Although almost every project seems like it will be enjoyable to be a part of, sometimes we advise clients to not go forward on a project. Usually this will be advised if a project will not be possible with the clients budget. Sometimes it is the site that is the wrong factor. Before any project begins, Newman Building Designs always does preliminary research before progressing with a project. Once we are hired additional research and as-builts are done. As-builts are measurements, photos and observations of a project site used to show how the property "As it is Built."
Design:
Some projects that are designed never actually get built. It is a shame, but during the development of a project, many things may change with time. There are also projects that we are hired to create, but not put together construction drawings for. The design phase of any project is always the most fun so we always try and convince clients to hire us for our creativity and practicality.
Construction Drawings:
There are times when a client already knows what they want and are only interested in having use get their visions built. Newman Building Designs and it's team of consultants are capable and experienced with all types of construction and can put together construction documents and calculations quickly, accurately and economically.
Project Management:
Some larger projects require many consultants that need a lot of coordination. Usually we are hired to manage a project that we have designed and created construction drawings for, but there are times when we are brought on board much later in the game. Many projects that have been created by other architects, designers and engineers sometimes need our help. We have been brought on board to help save many projects, whether they be running over budget or time. Sometimes we are brought on board because the client wishes to change the project and needs fresh ideas.
Completion of construction and beginning of using the space:
As a project nears completion the final touches need to be perfect. The best feeling of all during a project is seeing it finished well. Whether the project be a home or business, Newman Building Designs stays with the project until it is complete. For a home, we work with the clients on the final touches such as furniture, landscaping, and touching up. With a business, we offer these same services, but also put clients in touch with our network of resources so that the business will prosper.
